Some of the most important things we help build are nowhere near a construction site. Sunstate is filled with people who genuinely care about their communities, neighbors, and work families.
Sunstate sponsors and participates in many fundraising events to support great causes right in your community, such as American Heart Association Heart & Stroke Walks, American Cancer Society Big Dig events, Make-a-Wish Truck Events, and more. Employees in each region rally for causes they believe in while also having a fun day with friends, families, and coworkers.
We always say it’s our people that make the difference. And we know that’s true off the clock as well as on. It’s not uncommon to see a group of employees—from techs to senior leadership—gather to volunteer their personal time, muscle, and skills to help construct a neighborhood park or mentor the next generation of technicians.
Whether it’s helping a coworker rebuild a home damaged during a hurricane; or teaching high school students how to build a turbo engine for a statewide competition; or serving on the board of directors for an organization that hosts proms for teens with Down Syndrome, our team is filled with remarkable folks who are quick to jump in and help those in need. We are proud to stand behind and support the charitable good works of our team members.
Helping others and giving back is core to our beliefs. Through Sunstate Equipment Foundation, we support the good works of local charities in the communities where we do business. Foundation funding comes from voluntary employee contributions, and Sunstate matches these contributions dollar for dollar. Our employee-led regional advisory committees are closely involved in the grant process, making sure that money raised by employees within each region goes directly to local causes our employees who live, work, and raise families in those communities care most about.
